About Us
Willian & Dinah Oigara Community Foundation is a community based Organization (CBO) whose mission is focus on nurturing talents through promoting knowledge, skills and projects to empower individuals and communities for development.
Towards promoting a reading culture Oigara Community Foundation (OCF) was launched in 2011, and immediately initiated efforts to support development of Tindereti school library in Nyamira county. The foundation has also collaborated with Kisii University VC Prof Akama to equip the computer laboratory with computers. The foundation also launched an annual academic award project, the Tindereti Annual Academic Award which aims at reviving education standards in the school. The initial beneficiaries received Awards in March 2017 which marked a key milestone for the school. In collaboration with likeminded partners, the foundation initiated support for the girl-child education through donation of sanitary towels where over 100 girls benefited.
The foundation has a wider vision and launched three additional projects in 2020. The projects include, Wezesha Career Training Programme(WCTP), Leadership Training , Free Medical camps and environmental conservation project in the informal settlements, through collaboration with partners, and other stakeholders to implement community development initiatives to empower individuals and communities. OCF has a team of 8 expert trainers to mentor youths and train community leaders on entrepreneurship as an economic empowerment initiative.

MISSION
Develop and nurture talent and abilities to empower disadvantaged individuals and communities for sustainable development. Through the 4 pillars of OCF we intend to fulfill the OCF mission by;
- Promoting education for disadvantaged children in secondary schools.
- Promoting social and economic activities.
- Improved Community Health.
- Partnering with local churches to restore the community spiritually.
